As usual, nice processing from Mal.
The harbor wall looks very immovable compared to the gauzy sea. A poetic image!
I bet it doesnt look like that today
Nice one Mal. I love it.
Beautiful dreamy scene.

Nice dreamy shot Mal
Stunning shot Mal! I love it.
a stone-built submarine emerges from the water
I love this photograph. There is something very mesmerizing about it. I always find it difficult to put into words what it is I like about some of your shots, Mal. I just know that I feel really drawn to them. (:o)
There was this British TV comedian, a contemporary of Bennie Hill...xxx Allen, I think it was...
He would perform a few skits each week, but the highlight of his show was at the end, when he would sit on a stool, with a glass of something [performance scotch?] in one hand, and he would spin a story, creating evocative fauz-biblical phrases... "...and gawd sent a mighty tempest...a heaving and a roaring...and it rose against the mighty wall, and wouldst knock it down...but the mighty wall didst stand firm...didst say "get thee from me..." Sorry...probably a ittle before your time, mal.
Ray - I think you're thinking of Dave Allen.
For some reason I find the curve of the wall mesmerising against the sea & sky. Great shot Mal, though I think I'd have cropped off the rail completely. I guess that's why your shots are great and mine are... not up yet
technique, professionalities and... much sensibility and poetry render this great photography
beautiful stuff man...
Wonderful in its simplicity.
175 seconds?? Was it pitch dark or had you got half a dozen ND filters on the end of the lens? Whatever I love the result.
I see the bad moon rising ... the first words that flitted through my mind when I first saw this picture.
That curved wall is mesmerising indeed and the railing in the front is playing parts with me. Excellent.
For me the scene is rather melancholic - although I can't really put in words why. But I guess, that's why it's a photography, huh? Makes a great ending of the day, I now only need to find a nice liquid to go with it.
Very surrealist !
175 seconds Mal? How?
That is wonderful. A "Print it. Frame it. Hang it." shot.
Lovely.
a beauty Mal. Composition, light, exposure etc. I get the feeling that I should know where this is, but cant think. Where is it?
I was reading Ellie's comment and her question, How? My lowest ISO is 100 and my smallest Aperture is 22 on my camera. When I use the tripod, it never takes longer than 30s. Is that because I don't have a lower ISO? Or because I don't use the manual setting? Or what???
See what happens when you post images like this! Everyone wants to know how to do it.
Beautiful, Mal.
Love the water over the semi-submerged cobbles on the slipway.
nice shot... looks like how our world runs due to climatic changes...
It seems unreal/surreal, is fantastic!
