You seem to be sat upon a croc's back: where did you find that in East Yorks?
Cool shot as always...
Ah, that's where you're wrong! Look to the horizon, it seems promising.
Geat image.. Look up Mal...look up. We all have great places to go. This is one of them. :o) John
Always have your shoulders straight, walk on tall, and you'll find a new path to follow...never quit....
This is a superb picture, 138 sec.....
Grow gills...so much new stuff to explore under that milky brine...could be Mermaids, a lovely bit of "tail"...
eeerrr...looks like the 5D croaked...lots of new "places" to go with its replacement, mal [grin]
Don't give us that ''been there done that'' milarky ....
Hope sea level rises don't remove these fabulous opportunities ... or are you high and dry sitting in PS. richard
These shots always fascinate me, I like everything about it, especially the crystal clear and straight horizon.
You dont all way have to go forward
Turn around......
Great shot Mal - it looks like the surface of the moon. I like the dark strip on the horizon. This has a very ominous feel to me.
Ingrid
Ah, the 1Ds
LOL at Mary good advice.
Great shot and PP
LOL, it sure looks like a dead end, but only for those who don't know how to swim
Not a quick snap then Mal! What made you decide on 138 sec? Not a nice round 150 or 125 but 138!! Or did you bracket the exposure and were on this spot for a couple of days
I think its a cracking picture anyway!
super image as we have come expect mal
does this mean that if my D200 goes to the afterlife, I should get myself a D3? nice little camera you got yourself here!!
And what a "mal"-icious title!! Who doesn't see the opportunity to meet the new and unexpected ahead from this launching pad? Beautiful, symbolic, mysterious, malicious!!
Ha! That's pretty much the way it looks for me right now! How to get to that promise of the horizon though.
Beautiful, Mal. Love the tones.
Muy buena.
classic mal!
lol at bill phillip's commnent
A fascinating pic- with a feeling of infinity- I especially like the horizon-line between sea/earth and sky/heaven- for it signalizes that there is a frontier we can transcend -only in our imagination -I think you/we have to go back and to accept that we have to do our work here and now "standing with both feet on the earth" (In German: "mit beiden Beinen fest auf der Erde stehend")!
intense..is it always this misty there or is that your fabulous photoshopping skill?
Just follow your nose, and don't tread carefully - run like the wind! H.
It's becoming a habit... I seem to have to visit your blog at least twice, before I get at least some idea on how to comment on your photos.
Very tranquil, calm and... I don't know. Melancolic? From a technical perspective, I really love the lightning. That strong side-light adds so much impression and contrast to the foggy rest of the photo.
ah, the new baby gets an airing. A stunner as usual Mal. Where is this?
Knowing you, Mal, this is but the beginning of everywhere you have yet to go! Some of it is simply "unknown." I love it.
Powerfully symbolic and moody.
Surreal!!
Great Job.
Putting that new camera to use I see....
Making sure it was worth that little toe. Great Stuff Master Malster.
Immense. Liquid earth returning to the sea.
